Capcom has today announced the final release date for the long awaited Resident Evil Revelations, at least in America. The date for the North American market is February 7th, 2012. European and Australian release dates shouldn’t be too far behind we hope.
Along with the release date, Capcom has announced that exclusive to US retailer GameStop that the game will also ship with a Nintendo 3DS case that reacts and changes in the daylight. Resident Evil Revelations is the first ’authentic’ Resident Evil experience on a Nintendo console since Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube and then the Wii. No more spin offs, rail shooters, this is the real deal.
Resident Evil Revelations is set between the events of Resident Evil 4 and 5 and focuses on Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. They’re not the only characters in the game with new BSAA members Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat joining in on their search to discover the truth about the Veltro terrorist organization and the T-Abyss virus outbreak.
Capcom promises even more characters will be revealed before the games release date. Whos excited?
