Japanese gaming bible Famitsu is reporting Capcom are porting Resident Evil 0 to the Wii. A straight conversion with updated Wii-remote controls, this will be the Wii’s third Resident Evil game, but second Gamecube port. Resident Evil 0 started life as a Nintendo 64 game, before being ported to the Gamecube. It sold reasonably well, but certainly not up to par with previous Resident Evil games on the Playstation. More inside It seems Capcom have been encouraged by the success of the Wii exclusive The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil 4 port and are keen to get as much Resident Evil on the Wii as possible. Whether this means a new, original Resident Evil for the Wii is still anyone’s guess, but it seems Capcom are keen to exploit the hunger of Wii owners for more zombie killing action.
