While Nintendo might not have been officially talking about NX at E3 this year, they seemed to be talking about NX just a little at E3 this year.
According to a report by business magazine Fortune, Nintendo was said to be pitching the NX to third parties during E3. Not only that but many of the reactions to the console were said to be positive. This of course shouldn’t surprise anyone, similar buzz surrounded the Wii U before its launch – remember EA’s unprecedented relationship with Nintendo?
It has also been revealed in the same report from Fortune that Shigeru Miyamoto told the magazine he was stepping back the NX in order to focus on games. “I’ve pulled myself back out of some of the hardware section and I’m really focused on some of the software that I’m involved in — for example, the new Star Fox game. Of course I am observing and looking at the hardware, but I am not actively participating and making decisions.” he told the magazine.
Expect to see something more on NX next year, its when Nintendo will ‘talk’ about the console.
