Remember Pikmin 4? Miyamoto says it’s still on the way

Pikmin 3 was a quiet underachiever for the Wii U. It’s a great game but people usually suffix saying Pikmin 3 “oh yeah I forgot about that one!” when talking about the great lineup the Wii U has.

Last year we learned that Nintendo and Miyamoto himself were working on Pikmin 4 and the game was ‘very close to completion’. Obviously since then we’ve heard nothing about it – so just where is the game and when can we expect to see it.

Speaking to Game Rant, Miyamoto has admitted they’ve left it out in the cold just a little;

Yes, you are right, and we’re working on [Pikmin 4]. So, you know, when we’re in development we have to create a list of priorities and it has been hard to kind of fit that into that list, but we’re hopefully starting to see that on the list now.

We’d wager it’s moved to the Nintendo NX, not that Nintendo would admit it.
