In a new interview with the Mercury News, Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime was asked about third party developers, specifically about how other development studios may be allocating more of their resources to the Wii, following EA and Pandemics announcement to do so.

Reggie says that Every publisher has either made the decision and stated it publicly or made the decision and not stated it publicly thats good to hear, but where are the games from these publishers and why? What is driving developers to the Wii? They see the install base, they see the mix of established players … with the potential for new gamers, and probably most important they see a business opportunity. Coupled with the lower development costs, it really is a no-brainer

But Reggie also says that for all publishers it was not always the case, and while EA and Ubisoft had early access to the Wii Developer Tools, a lot of non-traditional Nintendo developers really made the decision at last years E3.
