Reggie and Iwata demonstrate Wii U Chat

Draw on each other's faces, start new bromances.

Among the many demonstrations during the latest Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata took the time out to call Reggie in America to test out the new Wii U Chat. Reggie even tried a little bit of banter in Japanese to appeal to the Direct’s Japanese audience. He didn’t do so well.

The Wii U chat seems to work simply and quickly, the camera quality isn’t the best but that’s to be expected really. The video quality of the call though seemed to be speedy enough to make sure you could tell what was going on.

The killer feature though seems to be that you can draw on the video screen, Reggie even drew Iwata a love heart. Awww.

You can only chat to your registered friends and you’ll need to update the console before you can use Wii U Chat. Wii U chat is of course free and can be used independently of the TV.
