Red coloured special edition Wii on the way

To help celebrate Marios 25th anniversary, Nintendo have painted the Wii red

Nintendo Japan (awww) has just announced a new Mario red coloured Wii and its coming packed in with a new red Wii Remote Plus.

The system also comes with Super Mario Bros. installed, but not just any version – this 25 version of Mario Bros has all the coin bricks sprites replaced with the number 25 on them instead of a question mark. The red Wii bundle is out in Japan on November 11th for 20,000 Yen.

The Wii Remote Plus also goes on sale at the same time (separately of course) and looks like its replacing the standard Wii Remote.

No word yet if any other regions will get the Red Wii, although wed love to get our hands on one.
