Rattata gets the Alolan treatment as Snorlax gets terrifying in Sun and Moon 

Rattata are everywhere, even in Alola but over there they look a little different. The newly revealed Alolan Rattata is a Dark/Normal type and can have both the Gluttony and Hustle abilities. During the Direct it was revealed that in Alola, Yungoos were introduced into the wild to control Rattata, but because they’re crazy they adapted to the environment and became nocturnal. Pokemon lore is wicked!

Some more details about Z-moves were explained as well. Each Pokemon that can use Z-moves needs a corresponding Z-Crystal. For example, the one for Snorlax is the Snorlium Z and gives Snorlax a terrifying move called the Pulverising Pancake. The moves flashes 20 years of it sleeping to unleash a crazy powerful and fast move.

To get a Snorlax and Sun and Moon you won’t even have to try hard as a Munchlax will be giving to all players before January 11th 2017. The Munchlax has the Snorlium Z attached.
