Independent Australian software distributor QVS International has updated their release schedule with two Wii games, the compilation game Metal Slug Anthology and Mercury Type R both of which are slated with a price of $89.95. Could Wii games be coming in cheaper?

Now not only is this good news for Metal Slug fans as the games release here was in doubt but both games also have now release dates, while Mercury Type R features a release date the 12th of February next year (and we hope the Wii is out by then), Metal Slug Anthology is currently slated in on the 17th of November which we all know is when the PS3 is currently slotted in for. This information poses some interesting scenarios.

1. The release could simply be a placeholder date matching the PSP version of MSA is also slated for that time.
2. The Wii launches before 17-11-2006 and MSA is in the “”Launch Window””
3. MSA is launching early and the Wii launch is a week or two later (see Call of Duty 2)

Whatever the outcome its great to know we’re getting Metal Slug Anthology down here. You can find the QVS software site here with the release dates.
