Puyo Puyo Tetris delayed in Australia, now releasing 12th of May

As is tradition, another Switch game in Australia has been delayed, with Puyo Puyo Tetris delayed in Australia by two weeks, from 28th of April to the new date of the 12th of May. The delay seems to be for both the Switch and PS4 versions of the game.
EB Games changed the release date on their website, and we’ve reached out to the local distributor, Five Star Games, who confirmed the new release date.
We’ll keep you posted if the eShop listing changes, as well.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
This is so, so stupid. It’s bloody Tetris. What possible reason could there be for the delay? I’m tempted to pass on this entirely.
I’m guessing with Mario Kart 8 coming out the same day, they thought that everyone would spend all their money on that in the week they had originally planned. By delaying they can hopefully get more sales in a week without a big name release.
That’s my reasoning for this.
If that were the reason, then they wouldn’t have delayed the PS4 version as well.
Another silly game for the switch that’s why I’m buying a Xbox one on Saturday packed away the switch til Christmas or next year til better games come out
Why? What possible localisation in Australia would delay the simplest of games?
Price is now $59.95 on the eShop but the date is still 27 April.
Doesn’t want to go up against the Mario Kart juggernaut. Silly though, the Mario Kart juggernaut will still be steaming along two weeks later.
So glad I imported my copy, I get it earlier and managed to save a few bucks in the process
I’ve been getting my butt handed to me in the demo…
Yeah makes no sense to delay cos of mk8 because that baby will roll on throughout May. I am still keen to get it…in a few months when it’s cheaper lol
I bet its price will go cheaper in a few months, in comparison to Mario Kart which won’t, but …. I’m still buying this game ASAP.
My last Tetris was Tetris DS (amazing version that one) and my last Puyo was on the gamecube, so I really want this.
FYI it’s not a localisation issue nor avoiding Mario Kart 8. The exact same delay happened with Has-Been Heroes and it was due to physical copies being delayed so the publisher pushed back the digital version to sync release dates.
