The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has revealed Puyo Puyo Chronicle, a Puyo Puyo puzzle RPG coming to the Nintendo 3DS.
The game is a celebration of the games 25th Birthday. The game offers standard Puyo Puyo but reportedly has a heavy RPG story mode as well. In the main story mode you play as Arle and Carbuncle. They’ve been sucked into a different world within a book. They must team up with Arie to try and escape. The game will be released with a 25th anniversary soundtrack, vocal track, drama CD and a theme for the Nintendo 3DS home menu.
The game is due out in Japan on December 8th, there’s no word of a western release just yet. Is it something you’d pick up if it came west?
