Projection: First Light no longer coming to Switch

Back in 2017 at PAX Australia, the Vooks team went hands-on with an utterly beautiful game called Projection: First Light, developed by Sydney-based developers Shadowplay Studios. At the time, and even last year at PAX, the game was slated to be coming to Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and Steam. That no longer seems to be the case.

In April, Blowfish Studios — the game’s publisher — published a blog post, announcing that the game would be coming exclusively to Apple Arcade. This led to a little bit of confusion; the Blowfish website at the time still listed other platforms, and several other outlets were still reporting on it coming to Switch, even after the Apple Arcade exclusivity had been announced.

Vooks reached out to Stride PR, the public relations firm partnered with Blowfish Studios, and after a number of emails back and forth, received the following statement:

Thanks for reaching out to us regarding Projection for Apple Arcade. We have no comment on other platforms for the game at this time.
