Project Rap Rabbit adjusts Switch stretch goal to something saner

Many millions less.

Earlier this week the much-hyped Kickstarter campaign for Project Rap Rabbit went live. The return of Masaya Matsuura and NanaOn-Sha to the rhythm-action genre, the creators of PaRappa The Rapper and Gitaroo Man should get a bit of excitement going. It did, but all the wrong reasons.

The game went up with a Kickstarter goal of over just one million pounds, it’s a lot but the stretch goals were just absurd. The one we care about though was the Switch goal which was set at 4.9million and after many other goals.

The good news is after much complaining the developers have thought about it, gone back to the drawing board and come up with a much lower goal. If the game reaches its first goal, the Switch version will now only require $1.5million. That’s many fewer millions than before.

The game is still so far away from the original goal, but with more fans on board maybe it’ll get there and even get to the Switch stretch goal. The game will release on the PlayStation 4 and PC if it does.
