After the success of Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, fans of Nintendo’s home console were slightly let down to find the next entry in the series would not arrive on the Wii. However, a Q&A video about Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, featuring its Product Manager, Matt Dahlgren, has left the possibility of it eventually coming to the system open. The video contained questions from the fans of the upcoming game, but inevitably some were still curious about a Wii port.
“At Resident Evil 5’s launch," said Dahlgren, "it was announced that a Wii version was not technically possible. But after some of the work that Cavia has done (with RE: Darkside Chronicles), the producers of Resident Evil 5 over in Japan now think it is possible. Some of the light effects in the South America stage are pretty incredible. Whether it is going to come, I don’t know the answer to that question. But, it has been said that now at least it is possible.”
So we know it is actually possible now, but would Capcom actually do it? They have given quite a bit of love to the Wii this generation, so there certainly is a chance. Let us know what you think on the matter in the comments section below or on our forum.
