The masters of casual puzzle games Popcap have announced their first two titles for Nintendos DSiWare store.

Bejeweled Twist will be ported to DSiWare and retain all the gameplay features of the PC and mobile versions. Players will still be able to twist, dodge, and move jewels in much the same manner as the other incredibly addictive Bejeweled games, but this time we’ll be able to take advantage of the DSis wireless technology to face off against other opponents.

The other game, Bookworm, is one of Popcap’s earlier titles and remains one of their best-selling titles across a range of platforms. The DSiWare version promises to keep the Bookworm gameplay formula intact, as well as to take advantage of the DSi’s dual screen interface. New features include a battle mode, more collectibles, and the option for players to record their progress through the game with a new ‘library’.

Bejeweled Twist will be out in North America mid-October, whilst Bookworm will be available before the end of the month. For those that don’t have a DSi, retail versions of the game will eventually be published for DS.
