The TGC (Trading Card Game) craze hit hard in the mid-to-late 90s, spearheaded by the likes of Yu-Gi-Oh! and even Nintendo’s own Pokémon franchise. Children and adults alike religiously collected them, showing them off whenever possible. For those who currently play the Pokémon TCG, or are just feeling nostalgic, the online version of the popular card game is now live for Beta testing.
Players can join up for free by creating a Trainer Club account, and can subsequently learn the rules of the card game or jump into the action and play against opponents over the internet. Players can easily view their entire collection of cards via a unique Collection Management Tool allowing for easy point-and-click navigation.
The game gives players one complimentary deck upon sign-up to get into the action right away, and players can earn a further three free decks during their experience. These decks can then be mixed and matched to make custom decks, but for players who want unique cards they’ll have to throw down some money for additional themed decks and/or booster packs.
Another cool feature is that players can actually trade their cards, as the medium suggests, with other players around the world. This can be done directly between players or via public trades.
This is however a Beta, so players would be wise not to get too attatched to their progress and be aware that problems may be present, or may arise in the future.
It's Black, Back Again.
If these aren't the coolest graphics...
