Updated story: Nintendo Australia has announced that the game is out here on March 19th, just one day later. Before you get the pitchforks out with time zones it’s only a couple of hours later than the rest of the world. The price of $89.95 though, that’s another thing…
Original story: The Pokemon Company don’t muck about, Pokkén Tournament will be released, worldwide on March 18th in pretty much every region. That includes Australia and New Zealand as well as America, Europe and Japan.
Pokkén Tournament of course has been out in arcades since July last year but finally we’ll be able to play the game in our own homes in just a couple of months.
Some of the modes in Pokkén Tournament were also revealed this week, one including a LAN mode. This LAN mode will actually require an ethernet adapter, two Wii U’s and TVs – but will then allow the game to run at 60fps. If you just play a Local Battle with two players, one uses the GamePad and runs at 60fps instead.
Online modes see standard friendly matches with your friends lists or ranked matches where you earn ranking points.
While we have you here it’s also been leaked that Mewtwo, Braixen, and Garchomp will be on the fighting roster for the game. Chandelure was also revealed just the other day.
Mark it in your calendar folks.
