Forget about the Tokyo Game Show, Pokemon is now having its own show this weekend in Japan. So far it has been the first place to get hands on with Pokemon X and Y, Pokemon Tretta, new Pokemon Trading Card game cards and now they’ve revealed an entirely new Pokemon anime.

The Pokemon anime is called Pokemon: The Origin and is complete based on the original Pokemon games, Pokemon Red and Green (Blue). It will air on October 2nd in Japan.

The show will follow Red as he starts his Pokemon Journey, Green is the rival and so far the trailer also shows Professor Oak, Brock and Lance.  It’s not sure how long this anime will be going for, but it is sent in Kanto and if Lance is there, it should be the whole ‘game’.  Also not known yet if Brock and Professor Oak will be the same characters from the original Pokemon anime.

The first trailer (in Japanese) is below.
