Pokémon Sun and Moon’s first shipment passes 10 million units

That's a lot of Pokémon.

Pokémon Sun and Moon is now available in Australia, New Zealand and Japan and soon the rest of the world will be able to buy it, but unlike the NES Mini there’s not going to be any shortages. Nintendo has, according to reports shipped over 10 million units of the game ready for day one.

That’s already more than the entirety of Pokemon Black and White 2 already. Sun and Moon already has other games in its sights too, Pokemon X and Y is not too far away at 15.64 million units sold, the next shipment could bust that too.

It’s good to remember though, that this is copies shipped to stores – not sold to customers. But after a year of hype, Pokemon Go and more, we’re they’ll sell.
