The next batch revealed.

The latest bi-weekly update for Pokémon Sun and Moon is here, as always it contains some new Pokémon reveals but also some new features. Just how much can they pack into this game!

First up, the starter Pokémon evolutions have been revealed. Dartrix evolves from Rowlet, Torracat from Litten and Brionne from Popplio. This is of course only their first stage evolution, we’re not sure they’re going to show the final forms just yet.

Hold on tight, there’s a ton of new features as well to work through. The Festival Plaza will allow you to see other players around you that are connected to the internet to battle or trade. You’ll get coins by following people’s requests, these Festival Coins then can then be spent in stores to unlock more items and even bouncy castles for Pokémon to train in. The more coins you get the better your Festival Plaza will be and the more activities you will be able to do. Later on you’ll be able to host missions where multiple players can work together to ‘achieve certain goals’.

Ever thought it was a big crap that your Pokémon sit in their Pokémon Box when not in use? Not everyone has a Pokémon Professor to look care for your stored Pokemon after all. Introducing the Poké Pelago!  This area will allow Pokémon stored in a PC box to explore isles, play on play equipment and enjoy other fun activities. It’s less of a Poképrision and more of a Pokéresort now.

Last but not least, Mega Evolution is back. All the Pokemon that were able to Mega Evolve in previous Pokémon games will also be able to Mega Evolve in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. It doesn’t look like any new Pokemon are getting a Mega Evolution however.

Speaking of Mega Evolutions, the rules for the Pokemon World Championships have also been updated, they’re banning Mega Evolutions and you’ll only be able to use Pokémon caught in Pokémon Sun and Moon (and that feature in the game). Better get training those new teams.

Pokemon Sun and Moon is also getting a special demo version, check out more about that here.
