Pokémon Sun and Moon only features 3D during Pokémon Snap-like Finder mode
Yesterday a whole swarm of European media published their first impressions of Pokemon Sun and Moon from a media event earlier in the month. It’s coming along well it seems – but there’s one thing that sticks out.
The game will now be entirely devoid of the stereoscopic 3D that the Nintendo 3DS offers, apart from one mode. Poké Snap Finder.
@GameXplain Hey! We were told 3D only works in the Pokemon Snap-like mode. Not in battles.

This now means that, like Pokemon X/Y and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire the game won’t be in 3D in the over-world and now it won’t be in 3D in battles either. This is likely due to the fact that the game run like crap with 3D on anyway, and removing it frees up the system to do other things like include trainers and NPCs in battle.
Did you battle with 3D one? Will you miss it? Let us know in the comments.
I’d rather more stuff in it than 3D.
I never use 3D any way, taking it away/limiting it to one area doesn’t affect my game experience. 😀
