Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow on Virtual Console has sold over 1.5 million copies

Still got it.

Some never thought it would happen, but here’s exactly why it did. Nintendo has confirmed that the downloadable Virtual Console versions of Pokemon Red, Blue (Green) and Yellow have now sold 1.5 million copies. This figure would also include the codes given away in the 2DS bundles.

Not only that but at least half of those downloads came from the Americans. This huge figure takes the total amount of Pokemon games sold past 200 million.

Expect that to grow even further with the release of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon later this year.
