Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team (DS) Review
Step into the world of pokemon in this all new adventure game. This Game is much like the others in the mysterious dungeon series but it counter part is of course Pokemon mysterious Dungeon Blue. Even though Blue version has had some problems such as deleting people game save files and setting peoples Nintendo DS’ on fire Dungeon Red has no troubles at all except maybe I can’t understand Japanese. Finding your way around in this game becomes easy all you need to do is look for stairs to the next part of the dungeon. When starting you will be asked a series of questions relating to the kind of person you are and that will determine your pokemon.
Graphics: Well the graphics are really quite good for a 2D game as you may have seen but these graphics are done well and will be a big hit when it gets released to the rest of the world. Some parts of the game may appear in sort of 3D but it is just well done 2D
Sound: Well this sound is not like the other games it is better and way less annoying. The music for the dungeons is basically the same as for the rest of the game.
Gameplay: This game you still use the arrows to move but for accessing the start menu it has changed and is now assigned to the B Button. However you really won’t need to use it much, I have only used it once for about 10 minutes because I couldn’t find something to heal me. When you are walking around your health will start to regain its self so you probably won’t end up using any items. There are several dungeons in this game that you will do missions in and gain friends and beat bosses. A great addition to the game is that the dungeons will never be the same twice. This game will take about 30 minutes to 1 hour to learn to play though it’s worth it!
Difficulty: This game is quite difficult in my opinion because I can’t read Japanese so I miss out on some things but I have worked out what something’s say. I suppose the English version will be easier because I will know what to do and I will be able to understand it.
About the game: This game is based of two large selling game series and they are the mysterious dungeon series and the pokemon series. This game is about a person who got turned into a pokemon and they are very surprised to find out that he/she can understand pokemon! So you are put into a rescue force and start getting issued missions. Pelliper will first come to your house and he will give you your first mission what so happens to be in thunderbolt dungeon. You will encounter all 386 pokemon on your journey and fight several rare Pokemon!!
Overall: This is one great game you don’t have to be a pokemon fan to enjoy it but if you are not a big fan of pokemon you will become more of a fan after playing this game. This is one of the best pokemon games I have played and I would recommend getting it either from Japan or in ’06 when it get released everywhere else. I think that you should wait to get this unless you are really good at Japanese. This is an enjoyable game that you will like a lot.
