Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee will feature Mega Evolution

If you were thinking that Pokémon Let’s Go games were going to be a straight remake of Pokémon Yellow with GO mechanics, you might need to think again.

This month’s issue of Japanese magazine CoroCoro has revealed that Mega Evolutions will be featured in Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee! It’s currently unknown how many Mega Evolutions will feature in the game, but it’s a pretty safe bet that all the Kanto evolutions will be present.

Scans of the magazine show Mega Charizard (both X and Y forms), Mega Venusaur, and Mega Blastoise, as well as the new design of Lt. Surge, which is pretty much identical to his old design. Whether this means Pokémon GO will have Mega Evolutions before Let’s Go comes out is another story altogether, but we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed.
