Pokémon GO’s Trainer Battles are now rolling out to players
Earlier this month, we got our first look at Pokémon GO’s long-awaited PVP feature. Today, the feature has finally gone live.
Currently, GO players on level 20 or above who log into the game from today will now be able to battle other players, and Team Leaders Spark, Candela, and Blanche. They’ll also be able to unlock a second Charged Attack on every single one of their Pokémon, though the requirements are hefty — Mewtwo, for example, reuires a whopping 100,000 Stardust, in addition to 100 Mewtwo Candy. On the upside, Trainer Battles can come with some fantastic rewards, such as the much-coveted Sinnoh Stone, which is required for all cross-generation evolutions introduced when Gen 4 Pokémon were added to the game earlier this year.

Niantic assures us that the feature will be rolling out to players below level 20 soon, which usually means that by this time tomorrow, all players should have access to PVP.
