The Pokémon Go Plus band will now arrive in Australia this September
Nintendo Australia has announced that the Pokémon Go Plus accessory will now arrive in September.
While we never had a release date here in Australia before, there was hope that the end of July for the US given at E3 2016 would apply here. The band has now also been delayed in Europe as well.
We’re not sure of the delay and wonder if Pokémon Go will even be as popular as it is now in September, but the fact that it wasn’t going to work with Android phones out of the box could be in play here. Maybe by then the second generation of Pokémon will be added to the game.
The Pokémon Go Plus band was to alert you with vibration and an LED about nearby Pokémon, PokéStops and more.
The #PokemonGO Plus accessory will arrive in September. Please stay tuned for pre-order/purchase details in AU/NZ.

Why can’t I just use my existing smart watch rather than try and force me to buy an extra accessory. No way I’m ever wearing both.
