Pokémon Go could get expanded ‘Buddy Pokémon’ system
While Pokémon Go is yet to make the leap into the second generation of Pokemon games, it looks like they might be adding some features similar to the second game – Pokémon Yellow.
In Pokémon Yellow if Pikachu was in your team he would follow you around on the overworld map, the feature was later extended to Pokémon Heartgold and Soulsilver where any Pokémon could follow. Now it looks like that feature might be coming to Pokemon Go.
Data miners have been probing the game and found data that not only suggests this feature is coming, but it actually goes further than just simply having a Pokemon follow you on the map.
The ‘Pokémon Buddy System’ will allow a Pokémon to follow you, but that Pokémon will also award you candy of that type. It’ll use the same distance calculation as the Pokémon Eggs. There will be a limit to how much candy you can get and of course you can only have one outside the Pokéball at a time.
Certainly an interesting feature if correct and would make it even more valuable to get out there and walk.
We’ll let you know when and if this mined information is confirmed.
how about one of your pokemon defeat wild pokemon to weaken them so you can catch em like in the show
