Pokémon Go catch and flee difficulties actually a bug – Niantic
While most of the anger regarding changes to Pokemon Go over the last week has been to changes to the way we track Pokemon, another issue has slowly raised to prominence.
It’s damn hard to catch Pokemon now.
The capture rate (how many Pokeballs to us) and the flee rate (when a Pokemon runs away) has seemingly since the last update increased so dramatically. It shouldn’t take 10 Pokeballs to catch a Pidgey and the more rarer Pokemon have been, at least this week near impossible to catch.
There’s good news on the way though, Niantic has recently found its voice and is now communicating problems more directly – tweeting this earlier.
Trainers, a new bug affecting throw accuracy increases the odds of escape and omits the XP bonus. We are working on a fix, stay tuned…

So then, maybe hold off your Pokeball purchases, because it shouldn’t be this hard to catch a Pokemon.
So their sending out the SWAT teams to tranquilize the Pokemon so that the Trainers can have an easier time catching them? Talk about animal cruelty!
