When Pokémon Gold and Silver launched on the 3DS’ Virtual Console earlier this year, Pokémon fans were left wondering, “What about Crystal?” Today, that question gets an answer.

Revealed on twitter earlier today, Nintendo of America has announced that Pokémon Crystal will arrive on the 3DS eShop on the 26th of January, 2018. The game, which first launched on the Gameboy Color in 2001, is a fan favourite, and known for a lot of firsts — including the first time a female character was playable, the first “third version,” and the first game made exclusively to be played in colour.

The virtual console release will also come with a special surprise — you’ll be able to obtain a Celebi in-game, for the first time ever in Crystal outside of Japan. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
