Fresh details on the new game, set two years after the originals.

When announced many wondered just what Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 actually was. Now that the latest issue of Coro Coro magazine has surfaced we can now confirm that indeed it is an entirely new game, it’s not a Pokemon ‘Grey’ at all.

While the new games are set in Unova again, it is two years after the events of the first and the games region has gone under some changes. The new map reveals that ice is now covering a lot of the map and water surrounding the Entralink has dried up. Perhaps all is not well for Unova.

Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 also has 300 more Pokemon available in the wild from the get go, these aren’t new Pokemon but old Pokemon from previous generations. A Psyduck, Eevee and others are pictured in the scans. Seems like you might not have to complete the game to unlock the previous generation Pokemon this time around. The Black Kyurem has a signature move of Freeze Bolt and White Kyurem knows the move Cold Flare. The scans also show the new male and female playable characters as well as the new rival. This time around the rival will be your childhood friend. The game also starts off in a new starting city and it includes a Pokemon Center. The first time ever there has been a Pokemon Center in the starting town.

More translations of the scans are forthcoming as is information about what else has changed on the map in the two years. We’ll leave that up to the experts at Bulbagarden who have translated the above so far.

So then, who’s looking forward to Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 now then?
