Play Mario Kart 8 this weekend at The Nintendo Experience Melbourne

Can’t wait an entire month to play Mario Kart 8? Live in Melbourne? Well it’s your lucky weekend.

Until Sunday the Nintendo Experience Store upstairs at EB Games Swanston Street has a playable demo of Mario Kart 8. It’s the latest demo too with most of the characters and six courses to play through.

The store tells us though it will only be there for this weekend. So if you want to play Mario Kart 8 nearly a full month before release you better race in.

Reader Russel has sent us photos of the demo station in action.

They will likely be back after Sunday but they are getting renovations done and most details are not known yet.

I do know that all but 1 wii is going and permanent wiiu stations will be installed. And they are loosing the white and going for more color in the place.

Thanks for the heads up. I went in today and had a nice long play. Videos do not do this game justice. It’s just so pretty! Plays great too. 😀

i went in yesterday and asked the staff and they said starting this monday The NIntendo Experience will be closed for a week and opened the next and the demo is avaliable till 31st
really not liking the waste of the 7 slots for the kooplings but at least Wendy reminds me of Birdo so im a little bit happy.
too many babys and kooplings are my only issue with this game

That can only be a good thing, the place looks a little too sterile now days. It shows that it was produced back in the mid 2000’s there that look and style was the big thing (Apple stores are a good example). More colour is nothing but good.
