On the week of the release of Star Fox Zero, it’s been announced the CEO of PlatinumGames Tatsuya Minami has resigned from the company . He actually resigned at the end of March but the news has been kept quiet until now. He has been replaced with Kenichi Sato. Seigo Tabira and Atsushi Inaba have been promoted to management as company directors as well.
Minami, like a lot of PlatinumGames’ staff began there work at Capcom and worked on such games as Resident Evil and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. No reason was given for Minami’s departure from the company.
Star Fox Zero is PlatinumGames’ most recent effort and is out this Saturday.
