Another Direct, more Pikmin 3. You love it.

Good news for Pikmin 3 fans, as the game will be seeing some more content in the way of new Mission Mode stages.

A software update will be available later today and brings with it a free add-on mission stage. If that isn’t enough, some additional paid downloadable stages will also be ready for those to prove their skills. The firs pack is now available on the eShop for a mere $2.60; a second round of paid DLC stages will also come at later date to keep the fun going.

Along with a new stage, the update will improve the online ranking system by showing you the best of the best, rather than an overview of where you rank.

The world’s highest score will also appear at the top of the rankings screen, giving you the ultimate target to beat.

Remember to update your Pikmin 3 first before buying the add-on content to avoid problems.

Video games are not my forte. I'm not very good at video games. If you walked up to me in the streets and exclaimed “Hey! You suck at video games!” I would not call you a liar. They are, however, one of my favourite things and classic Nintendo titles are what I like best. Sure I haven't finished New Super Mario Bros. U yet and I've had the game since launch, but that doesn't mean I don't get the same fuzzy feelings as you when I play it.
