Persona Q2 has been classified in Australia

No official confirmation yet, but it's looking good

Back in August, Atlus announced that they’d be releasing a sequel to the 2014 3DS game Persona Q in Japan. Since then we’ve heard nothing about a Western release of the game from Atlus, but it looks like it might be happening, and it may even be sooner than we think.

A listing on the Australian Classification Board’s website has shown that Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth has been classified for release in Australia, earning itself an M rating for sexualised imagery and online interactivity. The Persona/Etrian Odyssey crossover game released on the 3DS in Japan late last year, and features a slew of characters from the Persona series, including the Persona 5 protagonist Joker, who was recently confirmed to be the first DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

According to the listing, Persona Q2 is set to be published by Koch Media, a European publisher who’ve published similar games for Atlus in Europe in the past. The listing does not indicate a platform — most Nintendo games tend to be listed as “multi platform,” for whatever reason — but it’s safe to assume it will release on 3DS here too.

As with all ACB listings, no release date is listed, and it could be a while before the game hits shelves; Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission was also recently classified, but won’t be releasing until April. In any case, we’ll be sure to keep you updated if we hear anything official. In the meantime, be sure to check out our review of the first game.
