It’s still a week away but why not pour over the patch notes for the upcoming update to Mario Kart 8. We learned earlier today just what tracks would be making up the final selection in the second DLC pack but what about changes to the game?
Most of it you already know, there’s 9 new amiibo activated racing suits, and 200cc mode added but Nintendo’s gone in-depth about just how it’ll all work.
To activate the 200cc mode you’ll need to have beaten all the previously available cups on 150cc to play it in Grand Prix mode. If you’re playing online with friends or randomly you can access 200cc right away. There will also now be sparks flying from your tires in 200cc whenever you brake, which you will need to do. Wii Remote players will be able to brake by pushing the B, 1 & 2 buttons together at the same time.
There’s also 10 new stamps to use on Miiverse, you can put the mini-map on the main screen with the minus buttons on the Wii U Pro Controller, Classic Controller and the Wii Remote and Nunchuck combo.
Here’s all the details straight from Nintendo.
