Activision confirms the game officially, first songs revealed and there will be a new Guitar design too

Activision have now officially revealed Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock after Nintendo Power showed off the Wii version late last month. Activision promises that the game will not only have the biggest on disk track list, but you’ll be able to access new challenges to the 500+ song Guitar Hero Music Library.

The game as previously, revealed will have an all new story-driven quest mode, a new redesigned Guitar and the Quickplay+ mode. “Guitar Hero has set the standard for music based gaming and with Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and the game’s all-new Quest Mode, robust and authentic set list, over-the-top challenges and rock-inspired new hardware, we are once again bringing the soul and energy of rock n’ roll to fans around the world,” said David Haddad, Chief Operating Officer, Guitar Hero.

Quest mode allows you to use any combination of instruments as you embark on a larger than life ’epic rock journey’. Quickplay+ mode has 13 unique challengers for each track on the disk, downloadable songs and even imported songs from previous games. Complete challenges such as Band Streak, High Score and Power Challenge and battle it out on the leaderboards to see who comes out on top.
