Analyst Michael Pachter claims that without the Pro Controller there would be no Call of Duty of Wii U
Whether you like it or not, Call of Duty has a lot of pulling power, so much power that Nintendo created the Wii U Pro Controller because Activision demanded it to bring Call of Duty to the Wii U. This is according to the infamous analyst Michael Pachter who among other things thinks the Wii U ‘isn’t going to work’.
“Activision never said anything to me, but I know that [for] big games like Call Of Duty they said, ‘No, we’re not putting it on there if you don’t give us a conventional controller’. So they gave in.” he has told Edge Online regarding the controller. It is weird though that the Wii U GamePad has the same amount of buttons and triggers that the Wii U Pro controller does. Anyway, what was that about the Wii U not working?

“I don’t think they suck – I just think that they really believe that, ‘If we’re still novel, everything we do will work’. This isn’t going to work.
“Hardcore gamers will buy them; hardcore Nintendo fanboys will buy it. They could put out a piece of cardboard and say that it’ll play Mario and they’ll buy it.”[/quote]
Michael Pachter has been down on Nintendo for sometime, calling Nintendo’s success with the Wii ‘luck’ and it’s obvious he’s skeptical here as well about the Wii U.
There’s a lot of speculation on the Wii U on both sides, positive and negative, time will ultimately tell us who’s right.
