The Nintendo DSi is just days away but weve gotten our hands on an Aussie unit and whats the first thing we do with it? Take pictures for you of course! If youve been following our DSi coverage youll know we have had a Japanese unit for a while but thanks to Nintendo, the Aussie DSi is now in our hands. Some new things weve learnt, yes the DSi comes with a redeemable Club Nintendo card but weve yet to be able to connect to the store and see if we can link up our account as of yet. More inside. Also the DSi Shop is not available yet as we cant update the firmware. Well have a review for you shortly! Check for more new information in the captions.

Should have a warning, contains awesome.

Like the Japanese version the manual is pretty hefty.

Yes that is a Club Nintendo code. No we haven’t tried it yet.

Extra Stylus missing from Picture, yes it’s a new charger.

New shoulder buttons, with Camera motif.

LCD panels are awesome.

That Safety Screen is back, oh joy.

Don’t worry that Power button is harder than hell to hit.

See we didn’t even put a game in it, but we did take a photo of something.

Runs 1.2A out of the box, no European firmware here. Also I expect Birthday presents now.

Could make a joke abour Lethal Weapon here, but the kiddies wouldn’t get it.

I’m not speaking to YOU!

The Japanese box (left) is much more compact, then again so is everything Japanese.

As you can, the DS Phat earnt its name. The DSi is also wider the the Lite, but thinner.

Brothers in Arms, and no Madworld is not on the DS.

Family Portrait, Awwwwww

Thanks to the very awesome Nintendo Australia for sending us a DSi.
