Original IP Opoona heading to Wii from Koei

Koei have announced today that they are working on a game titled Opoona. Now, what Opoona exactly means I’m not sure, but with former developers from the Dragon Quest series and a bold way to control it, it cant be that bad. Former DQ art designer Shintaro Majima is head of art design while Sachiko Yukimura, who was also part of DQ, is taking the role of “”planning director”” and Hitoshi Sakimoto is on musical duties.

The interesting thing about this game though is the control scheme. Now, we all know how bold the Wiimote and nunchuk set up was, but this game isnt going to feature the Wiimote at all. Nope, all controls are going to be handled via the Nunchuck. Now, whether this set up will work or not is one thing, but one handed gaming sounds awesome for the lazy gamer, such as myself, who just want to relax and play a game.
