Original Bayonetta release a possibility for Wii U

Nintendo fans anticipating the release of Bayonetta 2 exclusively on the Wii U will be pleased to hear the original game could also be released on the platform.

Speaking to Platinum Games designer (and director of the original Bayonetta game) Hideki Kamiya, a reader from website Cubed3 asked if Bayonetta could be developed into a downloadable title for the Nintendo eShop to ensure players did not miss out.

Hideki’s reply, “It’s up to Sega or Ninty”.

Based on this comment, would you like to see a Wii U version of the original Bayonetta game in retail/digital form, or would you prefer Platinum Games addressed the matter with a comic, cut scene or interactive back-story much like the treatment the Mass Effect series receieved?

I’ve been writing about video games since 2006 and playing them since I was a kid. I started out with a copy of Mario & Yoshi on the Game Boy and before I knew it was in debt to Tom Nook. These days I spend much of my time trawling the eShop for the latest downloadable hit.

Bayonetta was an awesome game because of the gameplay, not the story. A cut-scene or interactive comic would completely defeat the purpose, and I doubt the story will be that important to the story of Bayonetta 2. Either release the whole game or do nothing at all.

I disagree ^ i think that a cut-scene or an interactive comic would be more likely to happen. It would take a while to get the first bayonetta game to work?avaliable on the wiiu. and if it did it will most likely be played on the pro controler. i dont mind that either but if they were to do that this is what they will most certainly do.

I liked the story in Bayonetta. True its nothing major but I found it interesting and amusing at certain points 🙂

Anyways, people will need to nag Sega and Nintendo to make it happen!

Though if they released some sort of digital comic to bring you up to speed on the story from the first game, I’d be up for that too

No offense to the author but it’s as much a possibility as nearly anything. It’s very much a long shot and nothing above suggests it’s anything but that.

Regardless it would be nice but I doubt Sega or Nintendo would bother.
