Only partial importing of tracks into Guitar Hero 5
Not every song from World Tour and Smash hits will be able to be imported into Guitar Hero 5
When we learnt that Guitar Hero World Tour and Smash/Greatest Hits songs could be imported into Guitar Her 5 we were happy, but now? Not so much. An FAQ on the official Guitar Hero site has revealed that only about 35 songs will be able to imported into the game. No doubt difficult licensing issues are at play here. Luckily we know what they will be, is your favourite there?

The importing will be available on the Wii version, as will the purchasing of World Tour DLC into Guitar Hero 5 (sans the Hendrix tracks). But Wii owners will have to wait as the importing won’t be available from launch of the game but will be on the Xbox and PS3 version.
