Since the beginning of April, Nintendo has been offering 1000 free DSi Points with every purchase of a Nintendo DSi. The offer has been aimed to encourage users to link their systems online and purchase DSiWare and other applications from the DSi Shop.
However, on October 6, users who have not yet visited the DSi Shop will miss out on the free Points. Those who have already received the Points, worry not; your Points will remain in your account even after the offer expires.
If you have purchased a DSi and have not yet obtained your free Points, simply visit the DSi Shop at any compatible Wi-Fi hotspot before 5am EST on October 6. For more information about connecting your DSi online, consult page 76 of the DSi Operations Manual.
