The Nintendo DS was a great console, one of the best. But it’s dead right?

Not quite! What happens when combine the biggest animated movie ever and the Nintendo DS? You get a ton of sales in 2014 it would seem.

In December 2013 Olaf’s Quest was released alongside the film Frozen. The game was released on Nintendo DS and the 3DS. You’d think the DS release would just be there for those with hand me down systems and the 3DS game would be picked up the most.

Well it’s the exact opposite.

Olaf’s Quest on the Nintendo DS has outsold and continues to outsell the Nintendo 3DS version of the game. Retailers are still picking it up according to MCV UK.

The trend could continue as well with Big Hero 6 launching on both consoles in January. Will people be able to let their DS go? It doesn’t bother us anyway.
