Ogre Battle 64 arriving this Friday on the VC
Thanks to the Hanabi Festival, we now get the chance to play this classic RPG previously unreleased in PAL regions
Last Hanabi time, Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen for SNES was made available in PAL countries for the first time via the Virtual Console. With another Festival now in full swing, Nintendo have announced that the Nintendo 64 sequel will be included in Fridays update.
Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber was released in the US in late 2000 by Atlus, but even with its high praise from reviewers, the title didnt succeed commercially. This was the most likely reason for the lack of a PAL version, so a Virtual Console release over nine years afterwards is a welcome sight for those fans reluctant to use a foreign console to play the game. The import tax brings up the price to a hefty 1200 Points, but considering the lack of N64 games available on the service in general, we dont think many people will mind.
