While we only just got Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty on the Wii U recently, it seems Oddworld Inhabitants is already working on it’s next game. It would appear that the game will be a re imagining of Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus the sequel to Abe’s Oddysee/New ’n’ Tasty.
The go along with what till obviously be a new look the game is getting a new name, Oddworld: Soulstorm and it’s due out in 2017.
The official website doesn’t give much away except for the following text;
Witness Abe’s horrifying conflict with a terrifying new machination.
A fresh narrative – a complete story retake inspired by our original tale.
A big visual and cinematic leap aiming to break new ground for Oddworld.
Intelligent new mechanics, twisted new devices enabling highly explosive deviousness.
A dark parable that tells an epic tale of a volatile society pushed to its limits.
No platforms have been announced as of yet but we with the game at least 18 months away – who knows what console Nintendo will have out then, hopefully it’ll have Oddworld: Soulstorm.
