It's still not the easiest thing to find though.
Earlier this week a report from a Scandinavian retailer popped up suggesting that Nintendo was soon to stop production on the Mini NES. Needless to say with the console selling out every time it pops up and with the demand so high this seemed a bit silly.
Luckily someone actually asked Nintendo and got the following response;
Production for the Nintendo Classic Mini: NES continues, and NOE [Nintendo of Europe] will continue to ship units to retail on a regular basis.
Here in Australia we’ve seen restocks of the console every couple of days for the last two weeks. The controllers for the system as well. Don’t expect that to stop anytime soon, but to eventually find one just laying on stores shelves? Probably not going to happen
