No More Heroes 2 loses MotionPlus, gains Classic Controller support
The recent popularity in Japan of the Classic Controller (due to Monster Hunter 3), coupled with the 2D minigames present, have led to its support in the game
While Suda51 stated that he’d like to include MotionPlus support to enhance the combat in Desperate Struggle, it seems that it wasn’t to be. A preview at 1up has now shown that the peripheral won’t be used after all. This seems to be because of a new feature revealed: classic controller support. While it seems obvious to include this for the game’s 2D minigames, it appears the main reason is due to the success of Monster Hunter 3, and, in turn, the Classic Controller Pro you could find packaged with it, in Japan. Suda said that Grasshopper wished to try to draw in some of the many players of the game using the Classic Controller into his new game.
The other possibility for the change comes from the fact that this is the last Wii version of the series. Is this an attempt to make the transition to another console easier in the future? Share your thoughts in the comments section below or the forum.
