Sydney based indie developer Nnooo has been announced as a finalist in the NSW Export Awards.

The creators of escapeVektor and Spirit Hunters received a shiny certificate which recognises excellence in the export of goods and services by NSW business, and also acknowledges contribution to the economy through job creation and increased prosperity for the state of NSW.

Nnooo’s Business and Marketing Director Bruce Thomson said he was thrilled the developer had been recognised for their contribution to the NSW economy.

“Over 97% of our sales are exports,” said Thomson. “Digital distribution means our games are always available in many countries around the world. It’s also encouraging to see the Export Council of Australia recognising the growing importance of video game development on the local economy.”

Nnooo is a finalist in the Information and Communication Technology category. The winners of each category will be announced on the 16th of October at the Sydney Conference and Exhibition Centre.

From the community here at Vooks, best of luck to finalist Nnooo.

I’ve been writing about video games since 2006 and playing them since I was a kid. I started out with a copy of Mario & Yoshi on the Game Boy and before I knew it was in debt to Tom Nook. These days I spend much of my time trawling the eShop for the latest downloadable hit.
