NIS America hosted an event where they detailed a lot of their upcoming games and while some of them were for other platforms, there were some updates for games announced previously for Switch and a host of new games announced as coming; First the updates:
Penny-Punching Princess was announced last year, will release on Switch on March 24th, here players will need to ensure that they save all the money they can, as you will need to use that money to hire people to help you save your kingdom. Check out the trailer below to see it in action.
We also got an update for Fallen Legion: Rise to Glory, the game is going to land on Switch on June 1st and with it players will discover an RPG with two distinct storylines and multiple paths to experience. The game is actually lets you play as either Legatus Laendur, a brilliant tactician beloved by the people, fought on the frontlines for the Fenumian Empire, but when he discovers why it is rotting from within, he vows to overthrow the royal family. Or you can play as Princess Cecille (and a saucy, talking grimoire) on her journey home as she fights hordes of monsters and a coup led by Legatus Laendur. A crumbling empire is in your hands. Which path will you take?
We got more details on the Switch release for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, thanks to a new trailer, which you can watch below. The Switch version will include additional cosmetic items in the base package that were given to players overtime on the PlayStation versions of the game and if you want to vote, NIS America did announce that they will be holding a poll before the games Winter release, to determine was reversible cover art will be included.
We also got an update on SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy, specifically the costumes that players will be able to deck out the fighters in. The costumes will be inspired by classic SNK fighting games and some all new ones will be included in that as well. We got confirmation of the games Winter release and a new character, who is known for grappling, check out the trailer below.
Now let’s move onto newly announced games.
Next up, we have an update on Birthdays: The Beginnings, or as its now known, Happy Birthdays. From the creator of the Harvest Moon series, Yasuhiro Wada, the game is all about creating your own ecosystem, from nothing, leading to the all important question, how will your world evolve? The game was released on PlayStation 4 last year and NIS America have confirmed that when it releases this Winter on Switch, it will be updated on its UI front, making it easier for players to experience the game.
Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded was announced for the Switch and is a port of the original PlayStation 4 game, but this time it’s packed with all the DLC. Players can expect the complete Touhou Genser Wanderer gameplay that the Touhou series is known for, but players will need to adapt to the Nito Fusion system. More details are expected soon, with the game setting target for release this Winter.
Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk is the final Switch game shown off during the stream and will have players enter a completely new dungeon crawling RPG, with bucket loads of loot and treasure to find. Players will also be able to take command of various puppets, letting them fight the batters for them. The game was released as just Labyrinth of Refrain for PlayStation Vita in 2016, but this is the first time the game will see release outside of Japan. It is expected that the game will feature both Japanese and English audio options as well, if that’s your thing.
