Nintendo’s Quality of Life product is delayed, but still on it’s way for this year

A few more sleeps away.

When it was first announced in what felt like eons ago that Nintendo would be dipping their toes into a new branch of software (and perhaps hardware) called Quality of Life, fans were understandably sceptical, if not completely unsure of what they were planning. While there were plans for the company to put out their first “Quality of Life” device this year, it appears that developmental delays will be pushing the product back.

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima shared a small update on the programme during a recent press conference – but unfortunately nothing especially exciting. Nintendo’s first quality of life project, a device purported to measure sleep quality, was originally planned to hit shelves in March but due to development “lagging behind” it has been pushed back to April or beyond.

We’d take a bet that it’s more likely to be “beyond” than April, but it’ll be interesting to see what Nintendo brings to the table when it brings this range of products and services to the market later this year.
